While this isn't a big deal for most, here in z7b(E Tennessee) single digits are rare nowadays. We've had them for a couple of days culminating with this mornings freezing over of the cove we live on! Now, it's paper thing and probably will be gone by lunch but STILL.....
Looks like I'll be doing a bit of shopping(more than usual) in Spring. A majority of my "hummingbird" plants are rated to my usul conditions BARELY(and some I've been just lucky with). Most of my Sages,Rosemary and Lavenders are probably gone. If this happened last week there would have been a better chance because we had Snow covering most of the beds but we had a warm up with a bit of Rain before this system moved in. It's GArdening;>!
Got a bunch of Dahlia and Columbine seeds planted. End of February I'll start some Cosmos and Zinnias. Depending on the space I might start some other various Annuals and Perennials. As always...SPACE!
Cheers,
Pat

We had 14 inches of snow in Kansas nearly a month ago. There's still a couple "snowplow glaciers" on the north side of the house that have not entirely melted, and it is meant to snow in the coming week. Maybe 8 inches.
